Walking
From Nara Park's main entrance, head south towards Sanjo-dori Street. Turn left onto Sanjo-dori Street and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. At the intersection with Karasuma-dori, turn right and continue walking for another 600 meters. You will see the entrance to Shōsei-en Garden on your left, just before reaching Higashi Hongan-ji Temple.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line train to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, follow the signs to the bus terminal and take the City Bus #205 towards 'Higashi Hongan-ji'. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the 'Higashi Hongan-ji' bus stop. After getting off, walk a short distance east, and you will see the entrance to Shōsei-en Garden.
Public Transport (Train)
From Nara Station, board the Kintetsu Nara Line and travel to Kyoto Station. Upon arriving at Kyoto Station, transfer to the JR Line and take the train to Kyoto's Tofuku-ji Station. Exit the station and walk north. Follow the signs to Higashi Hongan-ji, and after approximately 10 minutes of walking, you'll arrive at the entrance to Shōsei-en Garden.
