Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kintetsu Takatori Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kintetsu Takatori Station, exit the station and turn right. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto the road that leads up to Tsubosakadera. Follow the road for about 1 km, and you will see the entrance to Tsubosakadera on your right.
Bus
From Nara Park, head to the Nara Bus Terminal. Take the bus bound for Takatori. The bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes. After you get off at the Takatori bus stop, walk straight for about 300 meters. You will come to a T-intersection; turn right and continue walking for another 800 meters. Tsubosakadera will be on your left.
Walking
If you are in the central area of Nara, you can take a walking route. Start from Nara Park and head towards the Kintetsu Nara Station. From there, follow the instructions for the train option above. It is about a 7 km walk, which will take around 1.5 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the scenery along the way.
