Getting There

  • Train

    From Nara Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Kyoto. This train will take you directly to Uji Station. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Uji Station, exit the station and you will see signs pointing towards Uji Park. Follow the signs to the south exit of the station and head towards the river. Uji Park is about a 15-minute walk from the station along the river.

  • Bus

    From Nara, head to the Nara Bus Station located near Kintetsu Nara Station. Take the Kintetsu bus bound for Uji. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the 'Uji Park' stop, which is directly adjacent to the park. You can enjoy the park's attractions immediately after disembarking.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Nara. Head towards the Kizu River and follow the cycling path along the river. This route will take you through some scenic areas and will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach Uji Park. Once you reach Uji, follow the signs that direct you to Uji Park, which will be on your right after crossing the river.
