It was really fun and I...
It was really fun and I did learn how to make soba! He was very kind and informative and accommodating with translating and it was just me; I felt very grateful for the experience. Even though I don't usually like fish broths I loved the one he served me, it was my favorite I tried in Japan, and he told me how to make it.

Sushi Making Experience Luxury Course in Nara
Fun private class with amazing tasting fish and wonderful teacher. Also had udon with meal and drinks (extra cost).
This was a fun night. It was a class with only our group. Teacher was very knowledgeable and excited for us to learn. We had fun and learned a lot, including Japanese names for fish we made sushi with, and also had udon soup and drinks (alcoholic ones with dinner available) with our sushi. Fun extra was dressing up in kimono and getting pictures. Our class was in Kyoto. While a bit outside of town, it was only a 25 minute car ride and we walked to the subway (15 mins) to get back to our hotel. Enjoyed seeing what we imagine was a much more residential and quiet part of town. School was very clean, fish superb, and we are glad we did it!
