Walking
If you are starting from Nara Park, head east towards the main road (Nara Park entrance is near the Kintetsu Nara Station). Once you reach the road, turn left and walk along it until you see the entrance to the Nara National Museum on your right after about a 10-minute walk. The address is 50 Noboriojicho, Nara, 630-8212.
Bus
From Nara Station, take the city bus (Nara Kotsu) route 70 or 72, which goes directly to the Nara National Museum. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Nara National Museum' stop. The museum will be directly in front of you as you exit the bus.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from Nara Park and head northeast. Follow the road that leads you past the Nara National Museum and enjoy the scenic route. It should take around 5-10 minutes to reach the museum, and there are bike racks available for parking.
Taxi
If you prefer to take a taxi from anywhere in Nara, simply tell the driver 'Nara National Museum' or show them the address: 50 Noboriojicho, Nara, 630-8212. The ride will typically take around 5-10 minutes, depending on your location.
