Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from Nara Station, exit the station and head east on Sanjo Street. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the main intersection with the big clock tower. Turn left onto Takabatake Street. Follow this road for another 10 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Nara Park on your right.

Bus
From Nara Station, you can take the Nara Kotsu Bus. Board the bus heading towards 'Nara Park' or 'Todaiji Daibutsuden' (Great Buddha Hall). The bus ride takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Nara Park' stop, which is very close to the park entrance. From there, you can walk into the park.

Bicycle Rental
If you're up for some cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops near Nara Station. From the station, head east on Sanjo Street, then turn left onto Takabatake Street. It will take around 15 minutes to reach Nara Park by bike. There are bike racks available at various entrances of the park.
