Walking
From Nara Park, head towards the Nara National Museum. Once you reach the museum, continue walking straight until you see the entrance to Kasuga Taisha on your right. The distance from Nara Park to Kasuga Taisha is approximately 1 km and takes about 15 minutes on foot. Look for the bronze lanterns lining the path as you approach the shrine, which is a signature feature of Kasuga Taisha.
Public Bus
From Nara Station, take the Nara Kotsu bus bound for Kasuga Taisha (Bus No. 70 or 72). The ride takes about 10 minutes. Make sure to get off at the Kasuga Taisha stop. The bus stop is right at the entrance of the shrine, making it very convenient.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi from Nara Station directly to Kasuga Taisha. The ride typically takes around 10 minutes, depending on traffic, and will cost approximately 1,000 to 1,500 yen. Simply tell the driver 'Kasuga Taisha' and they will know the destination.
