Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Nara Park, head east toward the Nara National Museum. Once you reach the museum, continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Sanjo-dori (the main road). Cross Sanjo-dori and turn left. Walk along Sanjo-dori for about 300 meters until you see the entrance to Sarusawa-ike Park on your right. Enter the park, and you will find the Sarusawa-ike Monument near the pond.

From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Nara Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and head toward the main road, Higashimuki Shopping Street. Walk straight through the shopping street until you reach the end, where it meets Sanjo-dori. Turn right on Sanjo-dori and walk for about 5 minutes. Look for the entrance to Sarusawa-ike Park on your right, and you will find the Sarusawa-ike Monument inside the park.
