Car
From central Nikko, head south on Route 119. Follow the signs for Tochigi/Iwafune. Continue for about 30 km (approximately 40 minutes) until you reach the town of Iwafune. Once in Iwafune, look for signs directing you to Iwafuneyama. There is a parking area available near the trailhead.
Public Transportation
From Nikko Station, take the Tobu Nikko Line train towards Shimo-Imaichi Station. Transfer at Shimo-Imaichi Station to a local bus bound for Iwafune. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes. Get off at the Iwafune stop. From there, you can follow the trail signs to Iwafuneyama, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
