Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Omi to Tokyo Tower, start by getting onto the Meishin Expressway from Omi. Follow the expressway for approximately 70 kilometers and then take the exit toward Shibuya. Continue onto the Shuto Expressway and follow the signs for Minato. After about 15 minutes, take the exit for Roppongi and follow the signs for Tokyo Tower. You will find parking options nearby, but be aware that parking costs can vary, typically ranging from 300 to 600 JPY per hour.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, the best route starts at Omi Station. Board the JR Tokaido Line and travel to Tokyo Station. This trip takes about 2 hours. Once at Tokyo Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and head toward Kasumigaseki Station. At Kasumigaseki, transfer to the Hibiya Line and ride to Kamiyacho Station. From there, Tokyo Tower is about a 15-minute walk. Keep in mind that a one-way ticket from Omi to Tokyo Station typically costs around 2,500 JPY.

• Bus

  Another option is to take a long-distance bus from Omi to Tokyo. Check for express bus services that operate from Omi to Tokyo, as these can be more economical. The bus journey may take approximately 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic, and a one-way ticket usually costs around 3,000 JPY. Once you arrive at a major bus terminal in Tokyo, you can take the subway or a taxi to reach Tokyo Tower, which is located in Minato City.
