    Public Transport

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line to Karasuma Oike Station or the Tozai Line to Nijojo-mae Station. From Karasuma Oike Station (Exit 2) or Nijojo-mae Station (Exit 2), walk west or east respectively for about 5 minutes to reach the shrine. A single subway fare costs between ¥220-350 for adults. Alternatively, several city buses stop near the shrine, such as Nijojo-mae, Horikawa Oike, and Shinmachi Oike. From these stops, the shrine is about a 3-5 minute walk. A single bus fare is ¥230 for adults within the central area.

    Taxi

    From Kyoto Station, a taxi ride to Mikane Shrine takes approximately 15 minutes. The estimated fare is around ¥2,090. Taxis are readily available at Kyoto Station. Note that traffic conditions may affect travel time and cost.

    Walking

    From Nijo Castle, walk north-east for approximately 10 minutes to reach Mikane Shrine. Head east from the Nijo Castle exit and turn north onto Nishinotoin-dori Street. The shrine will be on your left. There are no costs associated with walking.
