Public Transport

From Karasuma Oike Station (Exit 2) or Nijojo-mae Station (Exit 2), walk west or east respectively for about 5 minutes to reach the shrine. A single subway fare costs between ¥220-350 for adults. Alternatively, several city buses stop near the shrine, such as Nijojo-mae, Horikawa Oike, and Shinmachi Oike. From these stops, the shrine is about a 3-5 minute walk. A single bus fare is ¥230 for adults within the central area.

Walking
From Nijo Castle, walk north-east for approximately 10 minutes to reach Mikane Shrine. Head east from the Nijo Castle exit and turn north onto Nishinotoin-dori Street. The shrine will be on your left. There are no costs associated with walking.
