Getting There

  • Train

    From Osaka Station, take the JR Yamatoji Line (Rapid Service) towards Nara. Get off at Tenri Station (approximately 40 minutes). At Tenri Station, transfer to the Kintetsu Tenri Line and take a train towards Kintetsu Asuka Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. After arriving at Kintetsu Asuka Station, exit the station and head south towards the main road. Turn left onto Route 165 and walk for about 15 minutes until you reach Takamatsuzuka Tumulus at 444 Hirata, Asuka.

    From Osaka Station, take a local bus or the subway to Namba Station. From Namba, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Asuka Station. After arriving at Kintetsu Asuka Station, follow the same walking directions as above, heading south and turning left onto Route 165 for about a 15-minute walk to Takamatsuzuka Tumulus.
