Walking
From JR Onomichi Station, the Sanroku Station (ropeway's base) is approximately a 15-minute walk east. Follow the main street along the coast, heading towards the Onomichi City Hall. Turn left just before the City Hall, and you'll see signs directing you to the ropeway. Note that the walk involves a slight uphill climb.
Public Transport
From JR Onomichi Station, take an eastbound city bus and alight at the Nagaeguchi bus stop, which is right by the ropeway station. The bus ride is about 5 minutes. Bus fares typically cost around ¥160-200 [ESTIMATE] per ride. Check local bus schedules for accurate timings.
Ropeway
Purchase a ticket at the Sanroku Station. A one-way ticket costs ¥320 for adults and ¥160 for children. A round-trip ticket is ¥500 for adults and ¥250 for children. The ropeway operates every 15 minutes from 9:00 to 17:15. Enjoy the 3-minute ride to the top.
