Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Susukino, take Sapporo's streetcar to 'Ropeway Iriguchi' station (25 minutes, ¥200). From there, a free shuttle bus runs to the lower ropeway station every 15 minutes (5 minutes). Alternatively, it's a 5-minute walk from the streetcar stop to the ropeway.

  • Car

    From central Sapporo, follow signs for the Mount Moiwa Tourist Road (Kanko Highway). This toll road leads to a parking lot at Chufuku Station, about halfway up the mountain. From there, take the mini cable car to the summit. The toll road is open from mid-April to early November, 10:30 to 22:00 (entry until 21:30). The toll for a passenger car is ¥1200 (roundtrip). Parking at Chufuku Station is limited to approximately 80 vehicles.

  • Ropeway & Mini Cable Car

    From the base station (Sanroku Station), purchase a round-trip ticket for the ropeway and mini cable car (approx. ¥1400 for adults). Take the ropeway to Chufuku Station, then transfer to the 'Morris Car' mini cable car for the final ascent to the summit. The ropeway operates from 10:30 to 22:00 (11:00 to 22:00 from December to March), with the last entry 30 minutes before closing.
