Public Transport
To reach Mt. Uomidake Nature Park via public transportation, head to Satsuma's main bus terminal. Take an Ibusuki-bound bus, which usually runs every hour. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Higashikata bus stop. From the bus stop, it's about a 20-minute walk to the park entrance. Follow the road signs pointing towards Mt. Uomidake Nature Park. Bus fare is approximately ¥930 from Kagoshima.

If you're driving from Satsuma, head south on Route 3. Continue on Route 3 for about 20 km until you reach the intersection with Route 226. Turn left onto Route 226 and follow the signs for Ibusuki. After approximately 15 km, look for signs for Mt. Uomidake Nature Park. Turn right onto a smaller road that leads directly to the park entrance. Parking is available at the park entrance; a fee of around ¥500 may apply.
