If you're driving from the center of Settsu, head south on Route 170. Follow Route 170 for approximately 5 km until you reach the junction with Route 43. Merge onto Route 43 and continue for another 3 km. As you approach Osaka, keep an eye out for signs for Sumiyoshi Taisha. There is limited parking available nearby, so plan accordingly. Parking fees may apply, typically around 500-1000 yen per hour.
Public Transportation - Train
Start at Settsu Station and take the JR Tozai Line towards Nagai Station. This journey takes about 15 minutes. From Nagai Station, transfer to the Nankai Main Line and board a train bound for Nankai Sumiyoshi Station. The train ride is approximately 5 minutes. Once you arrive at Nankai Sumiyoshi Station, exit the station and follow the signs to Sumiyoshi Taisha, which is about a 10-minute walk away.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Settsu, take the local bus service that runs towards Osaka. You will need to get off at Sumiyoshi Taisha stop. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most accurate timings. A one-way bus ticket costs approximately 220 yen. After getting off, follow the signs to the shrine, which is just a short walk away.
