Once in Miyoshi, follow Route 32 north and then take Route 438 towards Iya Valley. The drive will take approximately 1 hour from Miyoshi, and you will enjoy scenic views as you approach the valley. There are no tolls on this route.

To reach Iya Valley via public transportation, begin at the nearest major station, which is Miyoshi Station. From Miyoshi Station, take a bus operated by Shikoku Bus. Look for the bus bound for Iya Valley (Iya Onsen or Iya Valley route) and make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends. The bus ride takes about 1 to 1.5 hours and costs approximately 1,500 yen one way. Once you arrive at the Iya Valley bus terminal, you can explore the area on foot or use local taxis if necessary.

Combination of Car and Cable Car
For a unique experience, consider driving to the Iya Valley and then taking a cable car. After reaching the valley, park your car at the Iya Valley Sightseeing Association parking lot. From there, take the Iya Valley cable car, which offers stunning views of the gorge and surrounding mountains. The cable car ride costs about 1,000 yen round trip. This method combines both the convenience of driving and the picturesque views from the cable car.
