After crossing the bridge, continue on the expressway until you reach the intersection for the Sanyo Expressway. Merge onto the Sanyo Expressway heading west towards Hiroshima. Take exit 35 towards Hatsukaichi and follow the signs to the ferry terminal for Itsukushima Island. There is a parking fee of around ¥500-¥1000 at the ferry terminal. Once parked, proceed to the ferry terminal to purchase tickets for the ferry to Itsukushima Island, which costs around ¥1,800 for a round trip.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from any major city in Shikoku, such as Takamatsu or Matsuyama, to Okayama Station.
