Getting There

    If you are driving from Matsuyama, take the Matsuyama Expressway (E56) towards Uwajima. After approximately 1.5 hours, take the exit for Ikata (Ikata IC). Continue on Route 56 towards Ikata, then follow signs to the ferry terminal at Ikata Port. The ferry to Kuroshima Island departs from this terminal. The total driving distance is around 80 km.

    From Matsuyama, take the JR Yosan Line train towards Uwajima. Get off at the Ikata Station, which takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Ikata Station, take a local bus or taxi to Ikata Port (approximately 10 minutes). At Ikata Port, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Kuroshima Island. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes. Ensure you check the ferry schedule in advance as it may vary.
