    If you're driving from Shima, first get onto Route 260, heading north. Follow Route 260 for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 38. Turn left onto Route 38 and continue for about 30 kilometers. You will come to a sign for Asahiyama Zoo, which will be located on your right. There is a parking fee of around 500 yen for the zoo.

    From Shima, take a local bus to Toba Station. From Toba Station, board an express train to Asahikawa Station. The train ride takes approximately 3 hours.
