Car
If you're driving to Zenkōji Temple from central Shinano, start by heading east on Route 18. Continue for about 20 kilometers until you reach the city of Nagano. Look for signs directing you to 'Zenkōji' as you approach the city. Once in Nagano, follow the signs to the temple, which will lead you to Motoyoshicho. The temple is located at 〒380-0851 Nagano, Motoyoshicho, 491番地 イ. There is parking available nearby, but it can get busy, so plan to arrive early.
Public Transportation
To reach Zenkōji Temple using public transportation, start at Shinano Station. Take the JR Nagano Line train towards Nagano Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Nagano Station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal located right outside. Look for the 'Zenkōji' bus, which will take you directly to the temple. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. The temple is a short walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs for Zenkōji Temple once you disembark.
