Getting There

Car

If you are traveling by car, start from central Suruga and head towards Route 1. Follow the signs for the Kyoto direction. As you approach Kyoto, take the exit for Kiyomizu-dera. From the bus stop, it's a 10-minute walk to Kiyomizu-dera. Be sure to have some coins ready for the bus fare, which is typically around 230 yen.
