Car
If you are driving from the center of Tango, head northwest on Route 178 towards Route 9. Continue on Route 9 for approximately 24 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Chuo Expressway (E14). Merge onto the Chuo Expressway and follow the signs for Narita. Take the Narita Interchange exit and follow the signs to Naritasan Shinsho-ji, which is about 10 minutes from the highway exit. There is a parking fee of around 500 yen for the temple parking area.
Train
To reach Naritasan Shinsho-ji using public transportation, start by taking a train from Tango to Narita Station. This will typically require a transfer at either Toyooka Station or Kōzaki Station, depending on your starting point. Once at Narita Station, exit the station and take the Narita City Loop Bus (also known as 'Narita-sen') towards Naritasan Shinsho-ji. The bus ride takes about 10-15 minutes and costs around 200 yen. Disembark at the Naritasan Shinsho-ji bus stop, which is conveniently located near the temple entrance.
