Getting There

  • Car

    From Tango, head towards Route 9 and follow the signs towards Maizuru. Once you reach Maizuru, merge onto the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway (E27). Continue on the expressway until you reach the junction for the Chuo Expressway (E1). Take the Chuo Expressway and follow the signs for Yokohama. After approximately 2 hours, take the exit towards Minato Mirai. Follow the signs for Red Brick Warehouse (Akarenga) which will be on your right. Parking is available nearby but may incur a fee.

    Start at Tango Station and take a train on the JR West line heading towards Kyoto. At Kyoto Station, transfer to the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Shin-Yokohama Station. This journey takes about 2 hours. From Shin-Yokohama Station, take the Yokohama Municipal Subway (Blue Line) to Kannai Station. Once at Kannai Station, it's a short 15-minute walk to Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. Alternatively, you can take the Minato Mirai Line from Yokohama Station to Bashamichi Station, which is even closer.
