Public Transport
From Sendai Station, take the Sendai Subway Tozai Line to International Center Station. From there, it's approximately a 20-minute uphill walk to the main areas of Aobayama Park, including the Sendai Castle ruins. Subway fare is around ¥260.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available from Sendai Station. A taxi ride to Aobayama Park takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The estimated fare is between ¥1,500 and ¥2,000. Ask the driver to take you to the Aoba Castle (Sendai Castle) site.
Walking
For those who enjoy a scenic walk, Aobayama Park is accessible from Sendai City. The walk from Sendai Station takes approximately 45-60 minutes and involves an uphill climb. Follow the signs towards Aoba Castle. Be prepared for a bit of a workout, but the views along the way are rewarding.
Driving
If driving, Aobayama Park is about 10 minutes from the Tohoku Expressway Sendai-Miyagi IC. Parking is available at Sendai Aobayama Community Square or the Undergrand Car Park at the Sendai International Center. Parking fees are approximately ¥100 per 30 minutes.
