Public Transport
From JR Tazawako Station, take the bus to Tazawa-kohan bus stop on the lake's eastern shore. Buses run multiple times per hour and the journey takes approximately 12 minutes, costing around ¥400. From the bus stop, the lake is a short walk away.
Car
From Tazawako Station, it is approximately a 10-minute drive to the eastern shore of Lake Tazawa. Parking is available near the lake, but it can get crowded during peak season. Be aware that some parking areas may have limited hours. Driving around the entire lake takes about 30 minutes without stops.
Sightseeing Boat
From late April to early November, sightseeing boats operate from the Tazawa-kohan bus stop (Shirahama pier) to the Tatsuko Statue (Katajiri pier). A round trip takes about 40 minutes and costs ¥1220. A one-way trip from Shirahama to Katajiri costs ¥900.
