If driving from Akita City, take the Akita Expressway northwest towards Nikaho. Exit at the Nikaho Interchange (IC) and follow Route 7 towards Nikaho City. After approximately 15 minutes, turn onto Route 112 and follow the signs to Mototaki Waterfall. Parking is available near the waterfall. There are no parking fees.

Public Transport
To reach Mototaki Waterfall via public transportation, take the JR Uetsu Line from Akita Station to Kisakata Station. From Kisakata Station, take a local bus towards Mototaki Waterfall. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited. The bus fare is approximately ¥500. From the bus stop, it is a 10-15 minute walk to the waterfall.
