Tokyo Sea Life Park (Kasai Rinkai Suizoku-en) is a public aquarium in Kasai Rinkai Park, Edogawa Ward, Tokyo. Opened in 1989 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Ueno Zoological Gardens, it quickly became one of Japan's most popular aquariums. The park is designed by architect Yoshio Taniguchi, and is easily recognizable by its large glass dome that appears to float over Tokyo Bay. Inside, visitors can explore diverse marine ecosystems, from the Tokyo Bay environment to the depths of the ocean. The aquarium is home to approximately 600 species and 85,000 animals in 47 tanks.
