Getting There

Car
From Tosa, head north on Route 3 towards Nagano. You will travel approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 19. Merge onto Route 19 and continue for about 20 kilometers. Take the exit towards Nagiso, and follow the signs to Tsumago-juku. The total driving time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Note that parking is available near the entrance of Tsumago-juku, but it's advisable to check for any parking fees.

Public Transportation
To reach Tsumago-juku by public transport, start by taking a train from Tosa to Nagoya Station. This will be approximately a 2-hour journey. Once at Nagoya Station, transfer to the JR Chuo Line and take a train towards Nakatsugawa. After about 1 hour, get off at Nakatsugawa Station. From Nakatsugawa Station, take the bus to Tsumago-juku. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Please check the bus schedule as it may vary; the fare is around 600 yen. Ensure you have cash ready for the bus fare.
