If you are driving from Tosa to Tokyo Tower, start by taking Route 56 north towards Kochi City. Merge onto the Kochi Expressway (Tosa Highway) and continue until you reach the junction for the Tokushima Expressway. Follow the signs to Tokyo, keeping in mind that the total travel time will be around 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Tokyo, follow signs for Minato City. Tokyo Tower is located at 4 Chome-2-8 Shibakoen, which is easily accessible via the expressway's exit. There is parking available nearby, but expect to pay approximately 300 to 500 yen per hour.
Train
To reach Tokyo Tower from Tosa using public transportation, first, head to the nearest train station in Tosa. Take the train to Kochi Station. From Kochi Station, board the Limited Express train bound for Okayama. At Okayama Station, transfer to the Shinkansen (bullet train) bound for Tokyo. Upon arriving at Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and ride to Hamamatsucho Station. From Hamamatsucho Station, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Tokyo Tower. The total cost for this journey will be approximately 10,000 to 15,000 yen, depending on the specific trains and class of service you choose.
Bus
For a budget-friendly option, consider taking a highway bus from Tosa to Tokyo. Head to the Tosa city bus terminal and catch a highway bus that goes directly to Tokyo. The journey typically takes around 6 to 8 hours and costs about 5,000 to 8,000 yen. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Tokyo, you can take a local subway or taxi to Tokyo Tower, located at 4 Chome-2-8 Shibakoen, Minato City. The subway ride will take about 20 minutes, and the fare will be around 200 to 300 yen.
