Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from central Wakasa, start by heading west on Route 305. Continue on this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach a junction. Take the exit toward Echizen and merge onto Route 8. After about 10 kilometers, follow the signs for Kyomachi. Once you arrive in Kyomachi, look for 3 Chome-3-5 Kyomachi, where the temple is located. There should be parking available nearby.

    From Wakasa, take a train from Wakasa Station to Fukui Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once at Fukui Station, transfer to the JR Hokuriku Line towards Tsuruga. Get off at Echizen Station, which is about a 15-minute ride. From Echizen Station, you can take bus number 10, which will take you directly to Kyomachi. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the Kyomachi stop and walk about 5 minutes to 3 Chome-3-5 Kyomachi.
