Car
From Zao Onsen, drive towards Route 13. Follow the signs for Kaminoyama, and take the exit for Route 457. Continue on Route 457 for about 10 km. Look for signs directing you to 蔵王坊平高原 (Zao Bōhei Kōgen). There is a parking area available at the destination for a small fee (approximately 500 yen).
Public Transportation
From Zao Onsen, take the Yamagata City Bus bound for Kaminoyama Station. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kaminoyama Station, transfer to a local bus heading towards 蔵王坊平高原. The bus ride should take approximately 20 minutes. Please check the local bus schedule for the latest times, as they may vary. The bus fare is around 600 yen.
