Car
From Zao Onsen, head southwest on Route 30. Follow the signs for Zao Ropeway. After approximately 5 km, you will reach the parking area for the Zao Ropeway. Park your car here (parking fees may apply). Once parked, you will need to take the Zao Ropeway to reach the top of the mountain, which offers spectacular views and is the starting point for your hike towards 樹氷の泉.

Public Transportation
From Zao Onsen, take a local bus towards Zao Sanroku Station. The bus ride should take around 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Zao Sanroku Station, you can board the Zao Ropeway which will take you to the upper station. The fare for the ropeway is approximately ¥1,000 for a one-way ticket.
