Getting There

Car
From Al-Maghtas, head east on the main road (Road 60) towards the Dead Sea. Continue driving for about 7 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Road 65. Turn left onto Road 65 and follow the signs for Machaerus. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will see signs for مطل مكاور البحر الميت. Turn right onto the access road that leads to the viewpoint. The parking area is located near the viewpoint, and from there, it's a short walk to the observation point.

Public Transportation
From Al-Maghtas, take a taxi or a shared minibus heading towards the Dead Sea. Inform the driver that you want to go to Machaerus. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the base of Machaerus, you may need to negotiate with a local taxi driver for a short ride to the viewpoint, as public transport does not go all the way up. Expect to pay around 5-10 Jordanian Dinars for the taxi ride to the viewpoint.
