The best spots for watching the sunset are located near the entrance of Petra or along the scenic viewpoints. Park your car at the designated parking area near the Visitor Center. Make sure to arrive at least an hour before sunset to find a good spot.

To reach Wadi Musa by public transport, look for local minibuses or shared taxis in Dana Village that head towards Wadi Musa. These services are quite frequent and will cost you around 5-10 JOD. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Wadi Musa, you can walk towards the Petra Visitor Center, which is about a 15-minute walk from the main bus stop. From there, follow the signs to the viewpoint areas for the best sunset experience. Again, aim to arrive at least an hour before sunset.
