Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Wadi Musa. From the center of Wadi Musa, take the main road (Wadi Musa Street) and continue to follow signs directing you to Petra. Once you arrive at Petra, you can park your vehicle at the designated parking area. The Great Temple is located within the Petra archaeological site. You will need to purchase an entrance ticket at the visitor center, which costs approximately 50 JOD for a one-day visit. After entering, follow the main path through the Siq until you reach the Great Temple, which will be on your right.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus or taxi from your location in the Eastern Highlands to Wadi Musa. Buses frequently depart from major towns, and the cost typically ranges from 5-10 JOD, depending on your starting point. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, you can either walk to Petra (approximately a 30-minute walk) or take a local taxi to the entrance of Petra. At the entrance, you will need to purchase an entrance ticket to access the site. Follow the path through the Siq to reach the Great Temple, which is located on your right after you pass through.
