Car
If you are traveling by car, take the main road (Highway 55) heading south from Amman. After approximately 120 km, you will reach the town of Kerak. Once in Kerak, follow the signs towards 'Kerak Castle' or 'قلعة الكرك'. The castle is located on 'شارع القلعة الكرك' and is visible from the main road. There is parking available near the castle, but it may require a small fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Kerak Castle via public transport, you can take a bus from Amman to Kerak. Buses depart frequently from the South Bus Station in Amman. The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours, and the fare is typically around 3-5 Jordanian Dinars. Once you arrive at the Kerak bus station, you can either walk to the castle, which is about a 15-20 minute walk uphill, or take a taxi for a small fee (around 1-2 Jordanian Dinars). Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at 'شارع القلعة الكرك'.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in the Eastern Highlands to Kerak Castle. Negotiate the fare in advance, which will generally be around 30-50 Jordanian Dinars depending on your starting point. Taxis can be a convenient option if you are traveling in a group.
