    Getting There

    Walking

    Start your journey in the center of Ma'an. Head towards the main road (King Abdullah II Street) and walk north for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Wadi Musa. You will see signs directing you towards Petra. At this intersection, turn left onto the road to Wadi Musa. Continue walking for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass some local shops and cafes along the way. Be sure to stay on the main road, as this is the most direct route. After about 3 kilometers, you will see signs for Al-Siq. Follow these signs as the road will lead you directly into the Petra archaeological site area.

    Public Transport (Bus)

    From any location in Ma'an, make your way to the bus station located near the center of town. Look for buses heading to Wadi Musa; these are usually marked clearly. Purchase a ticket to Wadi Musa from the ticket counter or directly from the driver. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, exit the bus and head towards the visitor center for Petra, which is well-signposted. From the visitor center, it’s a short walk (about 15 minutes) to the entrance of Al-Siq, following the signs towards Petra.
