Getting There

  • Walking

    From Petra Visitor Center, head south towards the main path that leads to the Siq. Once you reach the Siq, continue walking until you exit the narrow gorge. After exiting, turn left towards the Street of Facades. Continue along this path until you reach the entrance of the archaeological site of Al Beidha, which is also known as Little Petra. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes.

    If you are at the Petra archaeological site (near the Treasury), exit the site and retrace your steps to the Visitor Center. From there, follow the directions to the Siq as mentioned above, and head towards Little Petra. The total walking time from the Treasury will be around 30-40 minutes.

  • Local Transport (Horse or donkey ride)

    At the Petra Visitor Center, inquire about local horse or donkey rides available for tourists. These rides can take you to Al Beidha (Little Petra). Make sure to negotiate the price beforehand. The ride will offer a different perspective of the landscape and will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
