Getting There

If you are starting from the Petra Visitor Center, exit the building and proceed straight ahead through the main entrance. Follow the path that leads into the Siq, a narrow gorge that stretches for about 1.2 kilometers. The walk through the Siq is a beautiful experience; keep an eye out for the rock formations and ancient carvings along the way. Once you reach the end of the Siq, you will see The Treasury (Al-Khazneh) directly in front of you. The entire walk from the Visitor Center to The Treasury takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace and stops along the way.
