Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Petra Visitor Center, exit the center and head south towards the main path leading into Petra. Follow the path for approximately 1.2 km (about 15-20 minutes). The path is well-marked and will take you through the Siq, a narrow gorge that leads into the main archaeological site. As you walk through the Siq, take in the stunning rock formations and ancient carvings on the walls. Continue walking until you reach the end of the Siq, where The Treasury will be directly in front of you.

  • Walking

    If you are at the Basin Restaurant, exit the restaurant and head down towards the main path leading to The Treasury. The path will descend slightly and can be a bit steep, but it is well-trodden. Walk for about 800 meters (around 10 minutes) until you reach the entrance to the Siq. Enter the Siq and continue walking straight. After about 15 minutes of walking through the Siq, you will arrive at The Treasury.

  • Walking

    From the colonnaded street area (near the Great Temple), walk towards the path that leads to the Siq, which is located to the northwest. Follow the signs directing you towards the Siq and walk approximately 1 km (around 12-15 minutes). Enter the Siq, and walk straight through it until you reach The Treasury at the end, which will be directly in front of you.
