    From the Petra Visitor Center, exit and head straight down the main pathway into Petra. Continue walking for about 1 km until you reach the entrance to the Siq. Proceed through the Siq, which is a narrow gorge that leads directly to the Treasury. After taking in the Treasury, continue past it following the main path. Keep walking until you reach the Great Temple. From there, take a right and ascend the trail that leads up to the Byzantine Church. The church is located on a hill, so be prepared for a bit of a climb, but the views will be worth it.

    If you are near the Al-Deir (Monastery), make your way back down the steps towards the main path. As you descend, keep an eye out for directional signs leading to the Byzantine Church. Once you reach the main pathway, turn left and proceed down the path until you reach the junction where you can head towards the Great Temple. From the Great Temple, follow the previous directions to ascend to the Byzantine Church.
