If you're traveling by car, start by getting on I-70 E from your current location in Eastern Kansas. Follow signs for Interstate 70 E as you make your way towards Kansas City. Continue on I-70 E for approximately 40 miles, then take exit 410A for I-635 N toward Kansas City. Merge onto I-635 N and continue for about 3 miles. Take exit 2B for Metropolitan Ave/US-69 N. Continue on US-69 N for about 4 miles, then take the exit toward 78th St. Turn right onto S 78th St, and Grinter Place State Historic Site will be on your left at 1420 S 78 St, Kansas City, KS 66111.
