Car
If you're traveling by car from the center of Cross Timbers, head south on Main Street towards Highway 50. Merge onto Highway 50 West and continue for approximately 30 miles. Take the exit for I-35 North towards Kansas City. After about 20 miles, take exit 223B for I-70 West. Continue for about 10 miles, then take exit 1A to merge onto I-470 South toward Topeka. Follow I-470 South until you reach the exit for US-40 West. Continue on US-40 until you reach Hedge Ln Terrace in Shawnee. The Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks will be on your right at 8304 Hedge Ln Terrace. Note that parking is available on-site.

For public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus from Cross Timbers to Kansas City. Upon arrival in Kansas City, transfer to the local public transit system, the KCATA. Take Route 476 from the bus terminal towards Shawnee. Get off at the nearest stop to Hedge Ln Terrace. From there, it is a short 15-minute walk to the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks located at 8304 Hedge Ln Terrace. Make sure to check the Greyhound and KCATA schedules in advance as they may vary. Costs will include the bus fare to Kansas City and the local transit fare.
