Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Almaty city center. Head southeast on Dostyk Avenue (also known as Abai Avenue) towards the Medeu area. Follow the road signs for the Medeu Skating Rink. Continue on the road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the Medeu Valley. You will need to pay a small entrance fee (around 500 KZT) to access the area. Once inside, follow the road that leads towards the mountains until you reach the trailhead for Bukreyev Peak, which is well marked. Parking is available near the trailhead.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the Almaty bus station. Take bus number 12 or 28 that goes towards the Medeu area. The ride takes about 30-40 minutes and costs approximately 300 KZT. Once you arrive at the Medeu area, you will need to walk to the trailhead for Bukreyev Peak. Follow the signs towards the Medeu Skating Rink, and then continue along the road leading into the mountains. It is about a 20-30 minute walk from the bus stop to the trailhead.
