From Big Almaty Lake, head east on the main road (A351) towards Almaty city. After approximately 20 kilometers, take a left turn onto Dzhambul Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Dostyk Avenue. Turn right onto Dostyk Avenue. Keep driving for about 5 kilometers, and you will see the entrance to Kok Tobe on your left. There are parking facilities available nearby, which may incur a fee of around 500 KZT.

To reach Kok Tobe from Big Almaty Lake using public transport, first, you need to catch a bus from the nearest bus stop to the lake. Look for bus number 28 or 12, which will take you to the city center. Get off at the 'Kok Tobe' stop. The ride will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the Kok Tobe cable car station. Note that the cable car ride may cost around 1,500 KZT for a round trip.
