Car
If you're driving to Kok Tobe from Big Almaty Lake, start by heading northeast on the main road until you reach the intersection with Al-Farabi Avenue. Turn left onto Al-Farabi Avenue and continue straight. After about 20 minutes, you'll reach the Medeu District. Look for signs directing you to Kok Tobe. You will have to park your car in the designated parking area. From there, follow the signs to the cable car station that will take you up to Kok Tobe.

To reach Kok Tobe via public transport from Big Almaty Lake, first, you need to take a taxi or a local bus to the nearest bus station in Almaty. Once in Almaty, look for Bus 12 or 28, which will take you to the base of Kok Tobe. Get off at the Kok Tobe stop. From there, you can either walk to the cable car station or directly board the cable car to reach the top of Kok Tobe.
