Car
If you are traveling by car from Almaty city center, head southeast on Al-Farabi Avenue towards the Medeu District. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Medeu Road (also known as the Medeu Gorge Road). Turn left onto Medeu Road and follow it for about 15 kilometers. You will pass the Medeu Skating Rink on your left. Continue until you reach the parking area at the base of Kumbel Peak, which is marked by a small sign. Parking is usually free, but ensure to arrive early as spots can fill up quickly on weekends.
