Car
If you're driving from Central Kazakhstan, head towards Almaty. From the city center, take Dostyk Avenue and follow the signs towards Kok Tobe. The exact address is проспект Достык 104B, which is located in the Medeu District. Look for parking options nearby, as they may be limited, especially during weekends.
Public Transportation
To reach Kok Tobe via public transportation, first take a bus or a marshrutka (minibus) to Almaty from your location in Central Kazakhstan. Once in Almaty, use the local public transport system. You can take bus number 12, which goes directly to the Kok Tobe area. The stop you want is 'Kok Tobe'. The fare for the bus is approximately 150 KZT (Kazakhstani Tenge).
Cable Car
After reaching the Kok Tobe area by bus or car, you can take the Kok Tobe cable car for a scenic ride to the top. The cable car station is located at the base of Kok Tobe hill. The ticket for the cable car costs around 1500 KZT for a round trip. The cable car offers stunning views of the city and is a popular attraction, so try to go early to avoid long lines.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to enjoy the natural scenery, you can hike up to Kok Tobe from the city. Starting from the base of the hill, follow the marked trails.
