Blanton's Landing Boat Dock: A Serene Retreat on the Kentucky River

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Kentucky State Capitol, head south on Capitol Avenue towards West Main Street. Turn right onto West Main Street and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Bridge Street. Turn left onto Bridge Street and follow it until you cross the bridge over the Kentucky River. After crossing the bridge, take a right onto Blanton's Landing Road. Follow this road until you reach the Blanton's Landing Boat Dock, which will be on your left.

  From downtown Frankfort, you can rent a bike and start at the intersection of Main Street and Capital Avenue. Head south on Capital Avenue, then take a left onto West Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the bridge. After crossing the bridge, turn right onto Blanton's Landing Road. Follow this road along the river, and you'll see the Blanton's Landing Boat Dock on your left. This route is approximately 1.5 miles and offers a scenic ride along the river.

You can catch a bus from various points in Frankfort, such as the Frankfort Transit Center on East Broadway. Board a bus that heads towards the Kentucky River. Request a stop near Blanton's Landing Road, and once you disembark, walk down Blanton's Landing Road towards the dock.
