From downtown Lexington, walk to the Lextran bus station at 215 E Main St. Take the Route 7 bus towards Frankfort. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 700 Capital Ave. The Kentucky State Capitol will be directly in front of you.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Lexington. Head northeast on Main St towards the intersection with E High St. Turn left on E High St and continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-60. Merge onto US-60 and follow the signs towards Frankfort. The ride is approximately 13 miles and will take about an hour. Upon arriving in Frankfort, you will find the Kentucky State Capitol on Capital Ave.
