Getting There

    If you're driving from Nyeri, take the Nyeri-Nairobi Road (A2) heading towards Nairobi. After approximately 16 kilometers, turn left onto the Aberdare National Park entrance road. This road leads directly into the park. Make sure to have a map or GPS as several signs may not be well marked. The entrance fee for vehicles is approximately 1,200 KES for residents and 3,000 KES for non-residents. Once inside, follow the road signs to your desired destination within the Aberdare Range.

    From Nyeri town, you can catch a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Aberdare National Park. The matatus depart from the Nyeri bus terminal regularly. The fare is typically around 200 KES. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Aberdare National Park. They will drop you off at the park entrance. From there, you may need to walk or arrange for a local taxi to take you deeper into the park, as public transport is limited inside.
